I'm a sole trader operating under the business name HR by Tara. I provide services to both businesses and individuals. The types of services I provide are explained on the pages of this website. I also run this website and blog. I’m the data controller for this website and I’m committed to safeguarding the privacy and protecting the personal data of all my website visitors - in line with the requirements of data protection legislation in the UK, including compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
What personal data I store and how I collect it
I collect minimal personal information from registered website users via a web form. This is limited to your name and your email address.
If you email me or use the Contact Us section, then your email address and any personal information you provide in your communication (perhaps your postal address, phone number, social media contact information, etc.) will be saved by the email or website software.
My website uses cookies. Insofar as those cookies are not strictly necessary for the provision of the website, I will ask you to consent to the use of cookies when you first visit the website.
Special Category Data
I don’t collect any sensitive personal data (known as Special Category Data) from any website users.
Why I hold personal data about website visitors
I use the personal data I hold on website users in order to respond to enquiries and to communicate with you.
I use cookies to monitor and improve the website. For example, they allow me to count visits, identify traffic sources and see which parts of the site are most popular.
How I store and use the personal data I hold
This website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. Wix Privacy Policy
My email, calendar, document and survey software is provided by Google. Any information you provide through these communication channels is stored within the software. Google Privacy Policy
Files are stored within Google Drive and on the hard drive of my personal computer.
I may use Google Analytics to see how many people view my site and to understand which pages are most popular. This requires the use of cookies. I don’t use cookies to collect any other personally identifiable information from website visitors.
I do not share your personal data with ANYONE else. If someone I know wants contact details for you, I will always check with you first before providing your information to them.
If you transfer from being a website user to a prospective client for my business then I’ll use your personal data to contact you and your data will then be covered by my separate Privacy Policy for clients, which is necessarily more extensive.
Security
My Wix.com and Google accounts are secured by a password.
My personal computer is protected by a password on start-up and wake-up. Virus and malware protection is installed and up to date.
Retention and removal of data
I store the minimal personal data of website users indefinitely, unless I am asked to remove it.
You can contact me at any time via hrbytara@gmail.com to ask for your personal data to be removed. I will then remove your personal data from my records, unless it is data I am legally required to keep. I will carry out any removal of data within 30 days, usually much sooner.
Policy review
I reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website. If I make material changes to this policy, I will notify you here that it has been updated, so that you are aware of what information I collect, how I use it, and under what circumstances, if any, I disclose it.
